Creating Space Therapy was developed to offer you a kind, caring and compassionate space to work through any difficulties you may be facing.
We understand that there may be times in your life when it becomes difficult to do the things you want to do, when it seems hard to connect with the people around you or when it feels tricky to move forward in the way you might like to.
Our psychologists will help you to think about the changes you might like to make in your life and support you to make these at a pace which feels comfortable to you.
I'm Lauren - founder and director of Creating Space Therapy and a Specialist Clinical Psychologist.
I work integratively, meaning I draw from different psychological models to find the most helpful way of supporting people through their difficulties. Usually, I use CBT, CFT, ACT and EMDR within my work.
I am particularly interested in working with adults who are struggling to make sense of the traumatic events that they have lived through, working with people with persistent, chronic pain and women and their families who are in the perinatal period.

Hi, I'm Kathryn, a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist currently working in stroke and dementia services in the NHS. I have a number of years experience working across various specialities in both the NHS and private sector. I have a special interest in helping individuals adapt to changes in their physical health, particularly following acquired brain injury, and I am passionate about helping individuals to live meaningfully despite the many changes that can occur following a brain injury or as the result of a neurological condition.
I take a flexible, integrative approach to my work, drawing on evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). I aim to provide a warm, understanding environment where clients are supported to rediscover their purpose, offering compassion to both individuals and family members/carers as they navigate this transition.
